About Ken Lord

Ken Lord launched his career by speculating and selling several single-family homes in the Philadelphia region. He has since built numerous modular and, more recently, net zero modular custom homes in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

By developing a specialized expertise in both sustainable systems, Ken remains well versed in the construction methods and techniques essential to building and renovating high-performance, energy-efficient, comfortable, and environmentally conscious homes and historic properties. Ken is also one of only a handful of builders in the Northeast who has completed rigorous training and received accreditation as a Passive House Institute US (PHIUS) Certified Builder. He is the preferred builder for BrightBuilt homes to build net zero houses in the Mid-Atlantic region. But if you’re considering other net zero systems, he can work with you and your architect too.

Ken continues to manage all aspects of each Lord Contractors project on a daily basis, and is available to consult with you and your architect on any sustainable project you may be designing.
